Deal Management
The Deal Management feature is the heart of Fund Flow. It helps you create, track, and manage investment opportunities from initial pitch all the way to closing.
Overview
A Deal in Fund Flow represents a single investment opportunity that you're raising capital for. This could be:
- A real estate syndication
- A private equity fund
- A venture capital investment
- Any other investment vehicle
Creating a Deal
To create a new deal:
- Navigate to Deals in the sidebar
- Click + New Deal
- Fill in the deal details:
- Deal Name - A descriptive name for the investment
- Target Raise - The total capital you're looking to raise
- Minimum Investment - The minimum commitment amount
- Close Date - Target date to complete fundraising
Note
You can always edit these details later. Start with the basics and add more information as your deal develops.
Deal Stages
Every deal moves through stages as it progresses:

|---|---|
| Draft | Deal is being prepared, not visible to investors |
| Active | Deal is open for investor commitments |
| Funded | Target raise has been met |
| Closed | Deal is complete, no more commitments accepted |
Managing Investors
Within each deal, you can:
Track Interest
See which investors have expressed interest and their potential commitment amounts.
Collect Commitments
When investors are ready to commit:
- Send them the subscription documents
- Track their signing status
- Monitor funding receipts
Communicate Updates
Send targeted updates to all investors in a deal:
- Progress updates
- Due diligence materials
- Closing notifications
Deal Dashboard
The deal dashboard gives you a real-time view of:
- Funding Progress - Visual indicator showing raised vs. target
- Investor Count - Number of committed investors
- Recent Activity - Latest investor actions and communications
- Documents - All deal-related documents in one place

Sharing Deals Publicly
Want to share your deal with potential investors who aren't in your CRM yet?
- Open the deal you want to share
- Click the Share button
- Toggle Public Sharing on
- Copy the generated link
The public deal page shows:
- Deal overview and key terms
- Investment highlights
- Call-to-action to express interest
Caution
Public deal pages are visible to anyone with the link. Only share publicly if you're comfortable with the deal being discoverable.
Best Practices
Keep Deals Updated
Investors appreciate transparency. Update your deal status regularly, especially:
- When you hit funding milestones
- If timelines change
- When new materials are available
Use Tags and Notes
Add tags to categorize your deals (e.g., "Real Estate", "Texas", "2024 Fund"). Use notes to track important details.
Set Up Notifications
Configure deal notifications so you're alerted when:
- An investor expresses interest
- Documents are signed
- Funding is received
